BIO:

Peppermint is a dynamic actress, singer, and Broadway performer whose work spans television, music, and cultural storytelling.

She rose to international prominence as a fan-favorite finalist on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9, where she was also the first drag contestant to join as an openly trans woman. Peppermint then went on to make Broadway history as the first openly trans woman to originate a principal role, starring in Head Over Heels.

Peppermint has since built a multifaceted career across screen and stage, with standout roles in Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest and Hulu’s Fire Island, along with appearances across television and live performance. Known for her charisma, comedic timing, and emotional range, she continues to expand her presence as a versatile and compelling on-screen talent.

In addition to her work in entertainment, Peppermint is a trusted and expert voice on issues impacting transgender communities. She serves as the ACLU’s first Artist Ambassador for Trans Justice, using her platform to foster understanding, visibility, and meaningful dialogue.

She has hosted and presented at the GLAAD Media Awards, co-hosts the Black Queer Town Hall podcast, and has been recognized for her impact with honors including a GLAAD Media Award nomination, a "Queeroes" Award, and inclusion in Out magazine’s OUT100 list. This year, she has the prestigious honor of being named as a 2026 New York City Pride Grand Marshal, continuing to break barriers for LGBTQ representation and Black trans visibility.

Whether on stage, on screen, or in conversation, Peppermint brings a rare combination of talent, authenticity, and purpose, cementing her as a cultural force shaping the future of entertainment and LGBTQ visibility.

Peppermint, an avid tea connoisseur, is also the creator of the Transcendence Tea blend in partnership with Moody Teas, a collaboration celebrating joy, visibility, and self-expression, with sales benefiting Advocates for Trans Equality.
