PEPPERMINT, SAVE HIV FUNDING CAMPAIGN LEADERSHIP NAMED TO 2026 OUT100

Morrison Media Group celebrates three LGBTQ+ changemakers recognized for their impact on entertainment, representation and HIV advocacy

NEW YORK, NY — Thursday, October 22, 2026 — Morrison Media Group (MMG) today announced that three voices across its talent and advocacy client roster have been named to the 2026 Out100, Out magazine's annual list celebrating influential LGBTQ+ leaders shaping culture, advancing equality and driving meaningful change.

Acclaimed actress, drag entertainer and advocate Peppermint is recognized in the Artists category, while Jeremiah Johnson and Maxx Boykin, leaders of the Save HIV Funding campaign, are jointly honored in the Groundbreakers category for their work protecting federal investments in HIV research, prevention, treatment and care.

The recognition highlights the power of LGBTQ+ leadership across entertainment and public health at a consequential moment for visibility, representation and community advocacy.

PEPPERMINT | ARTISTS

A trailblazer across television, Broadway, music and advocacy, Peppermint has built a career expanding transgender visibility in entertainment and public life.

From making history as the first openly transgender woman to originate a principal role on Broadway in Head Over Heels to becoming a fan favorite on RuPaul's Drag Race, Peppermint has continued using her platform to champion authentic representation, equitable healthcare and transgender rights.

A GLAAD Board Member, ACLU Trans Justice Ambassador, and 2026 NYC Pride Grand Marshal, Peppermint's latest Out100 recognition celebrates her ongoing influence as both an artist and advocate.

JEREMIAH JOHNSON & MAXX BOYKIN | GROUNDBREAKERS

Jeremiah Johnson, Executive Director of PrEP4All and co-founder of the Save HIV Funding campaign, and Maxx Boykin, the campaign's manager, are jointly recognized for mobilizing a national movement to protect lifesaving HIV programs.

Through congressional advocacy, nationwide organizing and the campaign's powerful #CutsKill Quilt demonstrations, Johnson and Boykin have helped elevate the human consequences of federal funding decisions and bring the voices of people living with HIV directly into the national conversation.

Their advocacy has contributed to the successful effort to defeat $3.5 billion in proposed federal HIV funding cuts, including nearly $2 billion in proposed cuts for FY26 alone — preserving critical investments in HIV research, prevention, treatment and care.

Their recognition comes as Save HIV Funding continues confronting threats to the nation's HIV infrastructure. This week, the campaign joined 138 organizations in an urgent congressional appeal to protect federal HIV research and brought its latest #CutsKill rally to IDWeek in Washington, D.C., with AIDS Memorial Quilt panels serving as a powerful reminder of the lives and communities at stake.

STORIES THAT MOVE PEOPLE

"From the stages where culture is shaped to the communities fighting for their health and dignity, Peppermint, Jeremiah and Maxx remind us what LGBTQ+ visibility can accomplish," said Tony Morrison, Founder of Morrison Media Group. "Their work is about more than being seen. It's about using that visibility to open doors, protect lives and create lasting change. I'm incredibly proud to help amplify their voices and the stories they're building."

Together, the three honorees represent the intersection of culture, storytelling and community leadership, demonstrating how LGBTQ+ voices continue to influence entertainment, public policy and the national conversation.
